Adding a Costa Rican Entity to the Group

We have brought an established Costa Rican entity into Axion. It is the latest step in an expansion that has been under way across Latin America for some time.

The acquisition gives us an operating base in the region rather than a presence managed from a distance. Local operations, local relationships and local rails all matter more in this market than a name on a website, and buying an established entity delivers them from day one.

Part of a wider footprint

We had already secured payment rails across the region before this acquisition. Bringing the entity into Axion connects those rails to an operating company on the ground, and sets up the next stage of what we intend to do there.

Expansion of this kind is deliberate. We buy established businesses where they strengthen the whole, and builds where nothing worth buying exists.
